Kelley Blue Book Used Car Guide
Consumer Edition July-December 2008
Paperback; 400 pages; published July 25, 2007.
Automotive Mileposts Review
Even though 40 million used cars are sold every year, the average person
has little idea of what price to ask for a vehicle they want to sell, nor
do they know what to pay for one. While most have heard of the "blue
book value" of a car,, until 1993 the Kelley Blue Book Used Car Guide
was only available to auto dealers, financial institutions, and other businesses.
Now there's a Consumer Edition which is published twice a year and arms
buyers with the same knowledge as sellers. The recognized authority in
used vehicle pricing, the Consumer Edition includes vehicle identification
numbers, original list prices, and two retail values (for good and excellent
condition). Covering more than 10,000 models of cars, trucks, and vans,
it also includes easy-to-use equipment schedules with values for optional
equipment that effect the price along with a table of acceptable mileage
ranges by year.
