PACKARD MOVIES, VIDEO, and DVD

Ask the man who owns one, and he'll tell you that Packard was once one of the world's most prestigious auto makers. By the mid-fifties, Packard wasn't able to compete with the larger auto makers. Packard built its last car in 1956, and the Packard name appeared on restyled Studebakers in 1957 and 1958, after the merger of the two companies.

Packard—the "car of gentlemen," owners included heads of state to heads of the mafia. The Packard had elegance, class, power, and attitude. Its superior quality made it the choice of anyone wanting to make a statement about going first class. Packard had a 100-year history that began in Warren, OH, ran through the gangster and Prohibition era, was used in the war effort during World War II, and ultimately declined when it failed to keep up with new technology.

Editor's note: There are currently no quality videos about Packard in distribution. Several good ones have been released in the past, but they are difficult to find. You might check our live eBay Packard Classic Car Parts Auctions pages covering the 1951-1956 Packards to determine if there is anything of interest to you there. From time to time, there will be out of print books or VHS tapes or DVDs listed. We'll keep looking for anything new, and update this page if/when we find it.
