 More about the Owner's Initial Monogram...First offered for the 1976 models, the Deluxe Monogram Set (shown left) was molded in a frame, with hand-polished raised chrome letters in a vertical style font. The letters were set in a one piece white enamel background, which was baked for exterior use. Specially trained craftsmen made each monogram separately, and the molds used to make each individual set of two were destroyed afterwards. (These optional monograms should not be confused with the standard door plaques which were also available—in a different style—at no additional charge.) |
