Introducing the Mark IV Designer Series. Make a Mark for yourself. For 1976, four of the World's top jewelry and fashion designers put their special mark on the Designer Series Mark IVs. Respected and distinguished names such as Cartier, Bill Blass, Emilio Pucci, and Hubert de Givenchy gave these cars a distinctive touch like no other. Each car included unique color combinations for the paint, vinyl roof, pinstripping, and interior that were not available on other Marks. The designer's logo appeared in each opera window [link opens in new window], to provide additional distinction, and an engraved plaque bearing the owner's name as well as the designer's graced the instrument panel. The Designer Series cars were very popular, and continued through the Mark V and Mark VI series Continentals. In fact, a Cartier Edition was available for the Lincoln Continental Town Car series until 2003. |
