Many previously optional features on the Continental Mark IV became standard this year. Then strangely, many of them would return to the list of optional equipment again in 1976, which made 1975 an excellent time to purchase a Mark IV. Most of these items were usually ordered at extra cost anyway, as an automobile of this calibre is normally expected to have them, and resale values suffer if they don't, so it's a mystery why they were shuffled from optional to standard then back to optional again, unless it was an attempt to keep the advertised base price down.
