ACCENT STRIPESORDER CODE - STRIPE CODE - COLOR (DITZLER CODE) Paint stripes are located on upper bodysides and on deck lid. DUAL-SHADE PAINT OPTION (Below)For 1980, the Versailles' Dual-Shade Paint Option cost $80, and was offered in six color combinations (shown below). The Black and Light Silver combination and the Dark Champagne and Light Champagne combination could be reversed, allowing either the darker or lighter shade on top. The primary paint color is on the top of the car: hood, deck lid, tops of fenders, doors, and rear quarter panels above the Premium Bodyside Moldings. The secondary color runs along the bodysides, below the Premium Bodyside Moldings. Premium Bodyside Moldings were a required option with Dual-Shade Paint, and initially were a no charge option, later in the model year they cost $77.00. |
