Paint stripes are located on upper bodysides and on deck lid, and are coordinated with vinyl roof color with provision made for customer options.

DUAL-SHADE PAINT OPTION

For 1979, the Versailles' Dual-Shade Paint Option cost $63.00, and was offered in six color combinations (shown below). The Black and Light Silver combination and the Dark Champagne and Light Champagne combination could be reversed, allowing either the darker or lighter shade on top.

Premium Bodyside Moldings were a required option with Dual-Shade Paint, and initially were a no charge option, later in the model year they cost $77.00.
