	Imperial interiors for 1963 featured custom-loomed fabrics with exceptional resistance to sun fading. A new seat design was introduced to specifically reduce the fatigue of all-day driving. Seat springs provided orthopedic support, and thick foam padding was provided in the seat cushions and backs of all Imperial seats. All models also featured storage compartments in the front doors, assist handles mounted on the front seat back for the convenience of rear passengers, center rear seat arm rest, and molded carpeting, to name a few. Of all the interior features for 1963, the one said to be the most pleasing was the deep silence of an Imperial in motion.
