Cadillac introduced a new softer, suppler "shirred" Sierra Grain
Leather last year, and it continued for 1976. The shirred sewing technique
gathered material into rows, and created wrinkles and folds that essentially
had invisible seams. The leather hides are of a thinner and softer texture
in comparison to earlier Cadillac leathers.
