![]() Four doors to the good life: 1967 Thunderbird Four Door Landau. Step inside to the most luxurious performance car of the year.Once again, the Thunderbird created quite a stir among luxury car buyers. For the first time ever, no convertible was in the 1967 Thunderbird line up, and a new four door Landau model was introduced, with center-opening rear doors, inspired by the Lincoln Continental. The new standard Tilt-Away Steering Wheel moved over automatically for the driver, and the headlamps were concealed behind the grille. New options for 1967 included Rolling Door Locks that automatically locked the doors at 8 mph, as well as an AM-FM Multiplex Radio with 4 speakers. The Thunderbird was the top seller in the personal luxury class, and 1967 was the 4th best sales year for the Bird to date in an increasingly crowded market, so people must have liked what they saw. The Thunderbird remained a trend setter that was unique in all the world. |
