One of the coolest features to ever hit the streets was sequential turn
signals. Each turn is indicated by a distinctive ripple of light. The entire
neighborhood would gather to watch the show when the first new Thunderbird
in the area came home. These coveted turn signals are still being added
to new cars by enthusiasts today, but the 1965 Thunderbird was the one that started it all.
As an unofficial way of celebrating the Thunderbird's Tenth Anniversary,
a Limited Edition Thunderbird Special Landau model was introduced at mid-year, featuring a unique color combination
and special touches not found on any other Thunderbird.
