The 1953 Buick Skylark Convertible was a dream car that the public could actually buy in 1953, and 1,690 people did just that. The Skylark had its own unique front fenders, without the ventiports found on Buick's other models. Skylarks had lowered convertible tops and door sills, open fenders with the wheelhouses painted white or red to contrast with the paint on the body, as well as special chrome bodyside spears and emblems, 40-spoke Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, a leather interior, and full luxury accessories. |
