Disclaimer: There are actually no 1964 Mustangs. The early cars were all titled as 1965 models by the factory, and were introduced early in April 1964 during the 1964 model year. These early cars have significant differences that set them apart from the later ones, and were given the "1964½" designation by collectors, as a means of identifying the early cars. Automotive Mileposts is including a search for 1964 Mustangs because so many sellers identify early Mustang parts as 1964 parts. Trivia: The first appearance of the Ford Mustang in a motion picture was 1964's "Goldfinger" where a white convertible with red interior was featured. Other Ford vehicles in the movie include a 1964 Thunderbird Convertible, 1964 Country Squire Station Wagon, 1964 Lincoln Continental Sedan, 1964 Falcon Ranchero, and a 1961 Lincoln Continental Sedan that was crushed in one scene. |
