1974 Cadillac Fleetwood Talisman rear console in Terra Cotta

1974 Cadillac Fleetwood Talisman interior shown above in Terra Cotta Medici crushed velour

In 1974, Cadillac introduced its most elegant and exclusive car since the Eldorado Brougham. The Fleetwood Talisman [link opens in new window] provided four armchair-style seats with front and rear center consoles, upholstered in lush shirred Medici crushed velour upholstery.

An illuminated desk set in the front console featured a lockable storage compartment, and a vanity mirror and storage compartment in the rear (shown at left) was provided for the convenience of rear seat passengers.

Included with the Talisman package was a reclining front passenger seat, lighted vanity mirror, interior assist straps, Talisman script on the roof quarters, and special wheel covers.

1974 would be the only year the rear seat console would be available, as it was dropped from the package for the 1975 and 1976 model years. The rare Talisman option was available for just three years.
