The mighty Chrysler 300 was discontinued after the 1971 model year. The 300 went out in style with its own distinctive grille, concealed headlights, full-width tail lamps, unique wheel covers, and a color-coordinated vinyl bodyside molding. Chrysler would revive the 300 nameplate twice in coming years. First, as an option package for the Cordoba in 1979, and for a sleek 4-door sedan in 2005, which would become one of Chrysler's most popular new introductions in years. |
