![]() Big changes were announced on the 1960 Chrysler 300F. New Unibody construction appeared, as did the optional Ram-Tuned Induction Manifold, which developed 400 horsepower. Drag racers used this process to raise torque and horsepower, and Chrysler modified the basic concept to include cross-over ram induction manifolds which placed the carburetor that fed gas to the manifold over the opposite manifold. This meant the carburetor for the left side manifold was mounted over the right side manifold. A few 1960 300Fs were also equipped with the French Pont-A-Mousson four speed gearbox. |
