A few 1958 Chrysler 300Ds left the factory with the Bendix Electrojector,
an early fuel injection system. This was the first time a computer was
used on a Chrysler vehicle, and due to service issues a recall program
was instituted in late Summer 1958 to recall all 300Ds with this setup.
It is now rare to find a car that hasn't been converted to the dual 4-barrel
carburetors normally found on the 300D. 1958 also marked the last time
the "Firepower" Hemi engine was fitted.
