Automotive Mileposts provides car restoration data and history for classic
car and vintage auto enthusiasts. We specialize in American-made, traditional
and personal luxury luxury cars of the 1950s through the 1970s, with some
overlap into other decades and types of vehicles, as necessary to tell
the complete story of the classic cars we focus on.
Restoration data helpful to restorers and collectors is thoroughly researched
and authenticated, and includes introduction dates, correct paint color
names and codes for each year, make, and model, a complete list of standard
equipment and optional features, including pricing and option or accessory
codes when available, with any changes for the year noted. Mechanical specifications
include engine availability, displacement, and horsepower; transmissions
used; rear axle ratios; weight and height specifications; width and length
measurements; and any factory codes that allow identification of these
parts. Production numbers and original manufacturer's suggested retail
prices are broken down by body style, and include mid-year price changes
if applicable.
Complete interior trim descriptions, including materials, colors, seating
configurations, and trim codes are provided, plus vinyl roof and convertible
top colors, textures, and codes, plus paint stripe data. Additional attention
is given to rare trim packages and special edition models. Factory show
cars, concept cars, and prototypes are covered, as are changes made to
the cars during the production run. Photographs are used to provide details
that are difficult to describe, and to serve as a visual reference. Technical
tips, service bulletins, and other information is provided in informative
articles, and through our experts on the AUTOPOSTS Classic Car Forum.
